04/27/26 The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a stabbing at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. On April 27, 2026, around 2:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to ASGDC in reference to a call from the jail reporting a stabbing incident. Upon arrival, deputies were informed the inmate suffered multiple stab wounds and is being transported by EMS to a local hospital. He was alert and conscious at the time of transport.
