03/05/26 The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that occurred today, March 5th, 2026, at the 7300 block of Monticello Rd. On March 3, 2026, Richland County deputies responded to a residence in Lower Richland referencing reports of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Update: Arrest Made in Monticello Homicide
03/05/2026 Sheriff Leon Lott announces the arrest of Anthony Boyd (20; DOB: 08/10/05) in connection to the homicide on Monticello Rd. Investigators were able to determine that the victims and suspect were known to each other, and that they agreed to meet at the location. News Release: Two 15-Year-Olds Taken into Custody for Pointing and Presenting
03/03/26 Yesterday, March 2, 2026, around 4:30pm, deputies responded to a school bus stop in the Hallbrook Drive area in reference to two males wearing ski masks presenting a firearm. Responding deputies quickly located the two suspects and, upon making their presence known, both suspects fled on foot.
