News Release- UPDATE: Shooting on Horrell Hill Elementary Property
05/11/26 During the incident, a Richland County School Resource Officer’s vehicle was struck multiple times by gunfire. Neither the deputy nor any students were injured. This remains an isolated incident and is not believed to be connected to the school, its staff, or students. UPDATE: Arrest Made in Shooting Turned Homicide on Bush River Road

On April 27, 2026, around 2:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to ASGDC in reference to a call from the jail reporting a stabbing incident.
