News Release: Additional Arrests Made in Relation to June 4th Summit Shooting

Sheriff Leon Lott announces the arrests of Alicia Magwood (46; DOB: 8/22/79) and Arrington Jones (17; DOB: 7/19/08) for helping Sireon Beaufort who is charged with the attempted murder of three RCSD deputies.
On June 4, 2026, several hours after the initial shooting, Magwood and Jones drove Beaufort back to the scene of the shooting to look for a bag containing firearms used in the shooting. The bag was collected as evidence prior to Beaufort’s return to the scene. The investigation revealed that Jones shares a child with Beaufort and Magwood is the mother of Jones.
On June 5, 2026, Magwood and Jones brought Beaufort to RCSD headquarters to turn himself in for his warrants connected to the shooting. It was discovered that Magwood and Jones arrived in the same vehicle used. The vehicle was searched at that time, and a bag containing narcotics and a stolen firearm was located.
On June 29, 2026, Magwood and Jones turned themselves in to RCSD’s Fugitive Task Force for warrants obtained in reference to their participation in helping Beaufort after the shooting. Jones is charged with Accessory After the Fact of a Felony. Jones is being charged as an adult due to the severity of the crime. Magwood is charged with Accessory After the Fact of a Felony, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Possession of a Schedule I-IV Narcotic, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
Magwood and Jones were taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where they are awaiting bond hearings.
