Richland County Sheriff’s Department deputies are investigating a shooting that left multiple people injured and one deceased at a business on the 1000 block of Zimalcrest Drive.
In the early morning hours of June 14, 2026, deputies responded to a shots fired call in the area of the 1000 block of Zimalcrest Drive. Upon arrival, deputies located multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds at the business, Jerk Hut.
Deputies immediately rendered aid to the victims, and secured the scene.
Emergency Medical Services transported two victims from the scene to local hospitals. Several other victims sought treatment at area hospitals by private vehicle.
This remains an active scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
