News Release: RCSD Keeps Battle of the Badges Blood Drive Title!

 The Richland County Sheriff’s Department has won the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive for the 15th year in a row.

            

The event took place on June 23, 2026 as a friendly competition between RCSD, CPD, and CFD. After a short extension period, the results are in, and RCSD brought in a total of 70 units – a 21 unit increase from last year’s number. CPD and CFD brought in a combined total of 17 units.

           

“The real winners are the patients whose lives have been saved because someone took the time to donate,” said Sheriff Lott.
