RCSD is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying three suspects wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred on January 3, 2026, around 5:45 PM at the 500 block of Alcott Drive. One 24-year-old was struck by gunfire and survived.

In the following video, the muzzle flashes of the shooters can be seen in the top right of the screen. At the bottom of the screen is an elementary-aged child that hears the shots and runs for his life. The breezeway the child runs to for safety is where the shooting victim was struck.

“It is by the grace of God this child was not shot and killed,” says Sheriff Lott, “this is the danger that is out here in our community: people with guns who just do not care. This kind of violence is reckless, inexcusable, and we will hold those involved accountable.”

Please help investigators identify the suspects responsible for this shooting. If you have information regarding this incident, call RCSD at (803)576-3000, or submit a tip anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
