News Release: One Dead in Shooting on Longcreek Dr

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on the 1600 block of Longcreek Dr this afternoon.
On April 23, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a shooting at the 1600 block of Longcreek Dr. When deputies arrived on scene, they located an unresponsive male with gunshot wounds to the upper body and EMS arrived to render aid. The male was pronounced deceased by EMS at the scene, and the Richland County Coroner’s Office was notified to respond.
