News Release: Update on ASGDC Cases

Sheriff Leon Lott announces an update regarding the investigation of a large number of cases reported that occurred at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
On June 30, 2026, Sheriff Lott held a press conference releasing the most recent arrests made during the investigation at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Since that date, RCSD has opened at least 154 new cases stemming from the ASGDC investigation.
The cases include aggravated assaults, simple assaults, assaults on jail staff, contraband inside the jail, overdoses, sexual assaults, throwing bodily fluids, threatening the life of public officials, indecent exposures, misconducts in office, vandalisms, arson, and strong armed robbery. Of these cases, the highest number is in assaults. There were 11 aggravated assaults, 66 simple assaults, 6 sexual assaults, and 20 assaults on jail staff reported. There were also 31 contraband cases reported with 10 overdoses. Numerous charges have been added to inmates at the jail for these offenses.
Two additional guards employed with the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center have been arrested. On July 10, 2026, Jerrika Roman (29; DOB: 09/19/96) was placed under arrest and charged with three counts of Misconduct in Office, Conspiracy, and Money Laundering. She was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, and released on bond the same day. On August 17, 2026, Lydia Goodwin (34; DOB:07/23/92) was placed under arrest and charged with Willful Destruction, Sexual Misconduct with an Inmate 1st Degree, two counts of Misconduct in Office, and Bribery. She was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, and released on bond the following day.
RCSD continues to investigate all crimes reported at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
