The Richland County Sheriff’s Department announces additional charges pending against Darrius Gilmore (21) following his arrest by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
On March 28, 2026, RCSD investigators were notified by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office about a kidnapping of two teenaged females occurring in Richland county early that morning. CCSO informed RCSD investigators that the suspect, identified as Gilmore, was in custody for crimes that occurred in Calhoun county as well.
RCSD investigators began an investigation and learned that Gilmore knew the victims and they had arranged to meet and party together at a location at the 1800 block of Killian Lakes Dr. During the encounter, Gilmore became agitated and tied the victims up. He forced them into a vehicle while armed and drove them to a secluded location in Calhoun county before committing additional violent crimes against the victims and being subsequently apprehended.
In addition to CCSO’s charges, RCSD obtained warrants for Gilmore. The warrants are for Kidnapping x 2 and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor x 2. RCSD’s warrants will be served on Gilmore upon his release in Calhoun county.
