News Release: Arrests Made in Weekend Double Homicide

Sheriff Leon Lott announces the arrests of Tyler White (21; DOB: 09/14/04) and a 15-year-old male in connection with the double homicide that occurred at Greenbrier Apartments.

On July 11, 2026, after the shooting, White reported to the hospital with at least one gunshot wound. Deputies responded and were able to determine he sustained the gunshot wound at the Greenbriar Apartment complex. During the investigation, it was determined that White and the 15-year-old male entered the apartment and shot both victims multiple times. White was detained at the hospital and will be transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center upon release.

On July 12, 2026, investigators located the 15-year-old male at a residence in Rock Hill. He was found limping and it was discovered that he was also suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. He was brought to a local hospital in Columbia and subsequently released. He was placed under arrest and transported to DJJ.

Both White and the 15-year-old are being charged with two counts of Murder and one count of Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.
