Professional Standards Division

The Professional Standards and Training Division is composed of three units: Civil Process, Internal Affairs, and Training.

The service of Civil Process is one of the most critical functions performed by the Sheriff’s Department.

The deputies assigned to serve civil process shall do so in accordance with South Carolina State law and departmental policy.

All complaints are processed and maintained in the Internal Affairs unit.

The Training Division is responsible for maintaining all departmental training records, hiring, and basic training requirements.
