Deputy Jamel Bradley lost 80% of his hearing before the age of two and turned to basketball to help him overcome the obstacles he faced from being different. His dedication and perseverance paid off, as he excelled as a player and earned a full athletic scholarship to attend the University of South Carolina. Before graduating and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Information Management, he had become a starter, captain, Most Valuable Player, and all around fan-favorite of the Gamecocks. Deputy Bradley’s unique challenges in life have served as a platform for him to inspire others and to become a role-model for young children. He began his career as an SRO for the Richland County Sheriff’s Department in December 2007 and is engaged to be married. Office -

Deputy Rodney Davis graduated from Dreher High School in Columbia S.C. and started his military career as U.S Marine and later joined the S.C. National Guard. He served his country in the Global War on Terrorism as a Communication Security Specialist and The War on Enduring Freedom as a Military Police Officer. His tours included the South West Asia Tour and Guantanama Bay Cuba. Being awarded medals such as The National Defense Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, South West Asia Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star, Global War On Terrorism Medal, The South Carolina Palmetto Award, and the fact that both his deceased father and grandfather were police officers, prompted him to serve his state in the field of law enforcement. This included being an officer with the Cayce Police Department and the Benedict College Police Department. Currently he is in his final semester of completing a B.S in Administrative Criminal Justice. GOD has blessed him to be married to his soul mate with which he shares 3 beautiful children, one grandson, and dog Buddy. His mother, grandmother two of three siblings and other extended family members reside here in the Columbia area. Dep. Davis' mentor, who happens to be his favorite uncle, keeps inspiring him to move forward. Family time involves community outings, attending church and helping assist disabled individuals, children and the elderly of our communities. His passion is promoting Health and Wellness, to include but not limited to fitness, weight lifting, and nutrition. If there were any leisure time available, his hobby of admiring muscle cars would kick in! Office -
