Crossroads Tour
The "Crossroads Tour” is designed to give our youth a "reality check" by having deputies and deputy coroners meet with the kids and talk with them about their future. The kids will also tour the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center and have a Real Talk Session and round table discussions about where their lives are headed. The “Crossroads Tour” comes on the heels of the training that School Resource Officers teach (Law Related Education) during the school year about issues that could lead a person to jail and shows them the harsh reality of jail life and where bad decisions can lead them.  

 
The name "Crossroads" was chosen because it seemed most appropriate for those students heading down the wrong path. Meaning that it is up to them to choose which road they follow -- will they proceed on the right side of the law or chose the bad?  Parents are urged to take advantage of the opportunity that this tour offers, because it could assist in the decisions our youth make in the future.  
Parents can sign their children up for the program, fill out a permission form and on scheduled days, students will be escorted and spend the day with deputies  Tours will begin at RCSD Headquarters at 5623 Two Notch Road at 7:30am and end around 12:30pm.
