Sheriff Lott, Deputy Kevin Lawrence, Deputy Chris Mastrianni Grand Marshals for the 44th Annual Irmo Okra Strut Festival

The 44th Annual Okra Strut Festival will take place on Friday, September 29th and Saturday, September 30th 2017 at Irmo Community Park. The parade will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday, September 30th down Lake Murray Boulevard, led by the Grand Marshals, Sheriff Leon Lott, Deputies Kevin Lawrence and Chris Mastrianni.  

The Okra Strut is a free festival open to the public, with plenty of fun for the family to include, amusement rides, entertainment, arts and crafts, bounce houses, and plenty of food with an Okra eating contest! It’s that end of summer fun to make way for the fall holidays! The festival will have live bands on both, Friday and Saturday nights.  

The 44th Okra Strut Festival will introduce a new event with the Lake Murray/Irmo Woman’s Club, an Okra Recipe Contest! Complete with a crown for the entire year! For more information, please call 803-781-7050.
