Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for robbery and simple assault.

At approximately 10:44 AM Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 8200 Two Notch Road (Kangaroo Express), Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a robbery call. A male suspect pretended to purchase a drink -- when the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect pushed the clerks hand aside and grabbed the money and fled.

Surveillance video equipment captured the suspect committing the crime (images below). The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’ 0” tall, weighing approximately 175 pounds, last seen wearing a black and white hat, striped blue, yellow, and white shirt, dark colored shorts, with a facial beard and puffy hair.
