Community Tip Leads to Meth Arrests

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced today that community involvement led deputies to arrest three (3) suspects in connection with a methamphetamine lab.

At approximately 6:00 PM on Sunday September 18, 2011 Richland County Sheriff's Deputies received an anonymous 9-1-1 tip about a possible meth lab in the Harbison area.

The tipster provided information that the meth lab was in the process of being set up at a home on Manorwood Court. They also provided a description of a vehicle carrying materials used to manufacture meth.

Deputies arrived and located the vehicle and the materials that the tipster described. Deputies arrested Curtis Smoak, Jr. (DOB 04/27/66) who is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. Both William Wilkerson (DOB 10/18/78) and Christopher Holley (DOB 09/22/1974) were charged with manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Sheriff Lott states that this is another example of community involvement making a difference in our neighborhoods -- you can call, email or text your anonymous tip to: Crimestoppers at 1-888-crimesc, or text “TIPSC plus your message” to CRIMES (274637).  Your tip could earn you a cash reward of up to $1000.
