Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott invites you to join us for “Cops on Top of Doughnut Shops” Wednesday, September 21 to Friday, September 23, 2011! The Richland County Sheriff’s Department has been a leader in the Special Olympics movement for many years, and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department would love for you to join us as we raise funds to benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics South Carolina -- 100% of monies raised goes directly to our local athletes for training, equipment, and travel. On Wednesday, September 21, 2011 until September 23, 2011 come on out to Krispy Kreme Doughnut Shops, 110 Clemson Road (Clemson Road and I-20), in Cayce (Knox Abbott Drive), in Lexington (5594 A Sunset Boulevard), and in Columbia (6614 Garners Ferry Road). Law enforcement officers will be joining forces on top of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for 3 full days and nights! Krispy Kreme has been a wonderful partner and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department is proud to be teaming up for such a great cause! Your donations will go directly towards Special Olympics South Carolina. Special Olympics South Carolina provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. By participating in sports, physical fitness and healthcare education programs, Special Olympics South Carolina athletes increase self-confidence and social skills, improve physical and motor skills, and have better success in leading more productive and independent lives. For more information please contact Deputy Debo Hayes at 518-6022 or Sue Maner at Special Olympics (772-1555; ext. 304)
