Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrests of Quevil Austin (DOB: 09/04/80) and Davian Winder (DOB: 10/29/76) charged with armed robbery.

Austin and Winder were arrested at approximately 3:30 AM on Friday, September 30, 2011 on Fairfield Road.

Sheriff Lott stated that on Friday, September 30, 2011 just after 3:00 AM, at 5831 North Main Street (Obama Store) Austin and Winder pointed a pistol at the victim coming out of the store and demanded her money. The victim handed over the money -- Austin and Winder fled the scene. Upon arrival Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies were given a description of the vehicle Austin and Winder were driving which was a black Nissan Sentra along with the license tag number.

At approximately 3:30 AM an alert Richland County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Sheriff Lott stated that Austin and Winder were positively identified by witnesses.

Austin and Winder were arrested and transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
