Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced today the arrest of Anthony W. Todd (DOB 1-10-64) for armed robbery.

Today, (November 4, 2011) Todd entered the CVS located at 3055 Broad River Road in an effort to rob them. The Sheriff stated that the victims recognized Todd as the same man who robbed them on Monday October 31, 2011. On October 31, 2011 Todd presented a note indicating he had a bomb in the satchel he was carrying – he demanded prescription drugs from the victim and fled the business. The Sheriff added that today the victims called 911 and responding deputies apprehended Todd after a short foot chase. Deputies found Todd in possession of a note demanding prescription drugs and that he had a bomb.

Todd was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where he awaits a bond hearing.
