Richland County Sheriff's Department Basketball Tournament/Toy Drive

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announces the 9th annual Law Enforcement Toy Drive – “time to give back to underprivileged children in a slam dunk way!”

On December 4 through the 6, 2009 the Richland County Sheriff’s Department will host a Basketball Tournament Toy Drive to ensure that underprivileged children of the midlands have a brighter holiday.

The Basketball Tournament will be for the purposes of collecting toys; with law enforcement officers from across the state coming together for a little friendly competition in the name of making a child’s Christmas morning a little brighter. Deputies have taken on this task, as their own personal way of helping needy children and spending time with other law enforcement during the holiday season.

Each player will be required to bring two new toys to participate and each team must complete pre-registrationSheriff Lott encourages all public safety agencies to register and show support for this very worthy cause. Please contact Corporal Frederick Brantley at  803.600-5819  to register your team.
