RCSD Seeks Two Suspects in Columbia Place Mall Theft

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in locating two suspects wanted for Theft from a Motor Vehicle.

Sheriff Lott states that at Columbia Place Mall (7201 Two Notch Road) on Monday, May 2, 2011 around 9:15 AM, surveillance footage from the mall captured 2 suspects opening the victim’s car door and stealing her purse.

The victim states she left her purse on the front seat of her car and entered the mall. The suspects were seen driving a newer model compact vehicle possibly silver in color. The driver is describes as a black male, in his 20’s, over 6’ tall with a thin build, last seen wearing a white short sleeve plain T-Shirt, black shorts, black sneakers, and a black ball cap. The second suspect is a black female, in her 20’s, thin petite build, well groomed, wearing a light or powder  blue dress with matching tights, and a low cut neckline. 

Sheriff Lott asks that anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the suspects should call, email or text your anonymous tip to:  Crimestoppers at 1-888-crimesc, or text “TIPSC plus your message” to CRIMES (274637).  Your tip could earn you a cash reward of up to $1000.
