Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott released the results of the investigation into reports that two teachers at St. Andrews Middle School were fighting in the hallway on March 14, 2008.    

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that a Richland County School Resource Officer conducted an investigation into the disturbance that occurred around 2:00 PM in a hallway during the exchange of classes. Tawana Horton (DOB 3-15-78 of 1220 Meredith Road, Columbia) and Cambrella Pickney (DOB 1-18-80 of 1009 Hulton Lane, Columbia) had a physical altercation in the eight grade hallway of the Middle School after the teachers ‘bumped’ into each other – the School Resource Officer interviewed the teachers who cited “an ongoing personal dispute” as the cause of the altercation. Horton and Pickney were arrested for Disturbing Schools and booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center today.
