Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced today the arrest of Larry Roosevelt Edwards (DOB 11-16-56 of 4921 Norman Avenue) in connection with the early morning burglary at 1347 Dutch Fork Road (Guido’s Pizza) and also in connection with two additional burglaries in Northwest Richland County. Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott stated that around 4:00 AM this morning deputies responded to Guido’s Pizza for alarm activation – the deputy’s immediate response located Edwards inside the business. Edwards fled on foot from the business; deputies gave chase and apprehended Edwards in the wood line near AJ Amick Road. Sheriff Lott stated that patrol deputies transported Edwards to the Sheriff’s Department where investigators were able to determine that Edwards was also responsible for the December 2007 burglary of 11107 Broad River Road (Learning Express) and the burglary of 1000-H Marina Road (Lake Murray Submarines) which Edwards committed this morning. · Sheriff Leon Lott stated that Edwards has been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing. · Sheriff Leon Lott stated that Edwards has been charged with three counts of burglary 2nd and one count of petite larceny - the petite larceny is from the theft of $500 from the Learning Express in December.
