RCSD Arrests Shaheen Snider for 4 counts of Fraud 

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrest of Shaheen Snider (DOB: 09/13/1984) charged with two counts of identity fraud, one count of forgery, and one count of financial transaction card theft. Snider was taken into custody by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s Fugitive Task Force at a residence on the 7600 block of Garners Ferry Road on Thursday, June 15, 2017.

On May 1, 2016, Snider stole the victim’s credit card while working as a cashier at the Citgo Petro Mart located at 7621 Garners Ferry Road. The victim made a gas purchase inside the business and Snider returned a different credit card to the victim. The victim later discovered having the wrong credit card. Snider attempted to make approximately $1,200 in purchases at Walmart located at 7520 Garners Ferry Road.

In May 2017, Snider used the victim’s identification and purchased a hotel room at the Quality Inn & Suites located at 7251 Garners Ferry Road. RCSD investigators were able to identify Snider by surveillance video.

Snider faces additional fraud charges with Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Columbia Police Department, and Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. Snider has been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
