Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrest of Johnnie Ray Turner Jr. of 406 Water Garden Court, Irmo (DOB: 07/08/85) for unlawful entry into closed places and 6 counts of breaking into an automobile.

At 3:30 AM on Monday June 27, 2011 Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to 1590 Dutch Fork Road (Ballentine Collision and Repair) in reference to suspicious activity.

Upon arrival deputies reviewed the surveillance video equipment at the location; during a search of the area Turner was walking near the incident location wearing the clothes that matched the surveillance video.

Sheriff Lott stated that this is another example of a concerned citizen making a call about something out of place in the community -- no matter how small you may think it is, it just may be something big. Truly working together we can achieve ‘Unity in the Community!’

Turner was arrested and transported to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
