Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrest of Ricardo LaBruce Joseph (DOB: 08/12/82) for two counts of armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, burglary, criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, and stalking.   

Sheriff Lott states that at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Fugitive Task Force and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division arrested Joseph at 131 Condale Lane, Hopkins, SC after an extensive search of the property. Joseph was located and arrested without incident due to information obtained through acquaintances.   

On June 14, 2011 Joseph forced entry into the victim’s residence -- he then assaulted and robbed two of the victim’s friends. Joseph made the victims’ strip naked, and stomped one of the victims until he was unconscious. Joseph stole money from the victims and fled the scene. Joseph continued to call and text the victim numerous times.

Joseph has been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
