Sheriff Lott states on July 26, 2009 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Christopher Parnell entered the Pitt Stop at 7460 Two Notch Road armed with a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. Parnell attempted to conceal his face while inside the store but the video surveillance had already captured his face as he moved throughout the convenience store. Parnell also demanded the cashier to place several boxes of cigarettes inside of a bag - he also stole beer from the store as well. The cashier complied with Parnell's demands and he fled with the items along with an undisclosed amount of money in a dark colored Jeep driven by an unknown accomplice.
