RCSD seeks suspect for theft

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in indentifying the suspect wanted for theft from motor vehicle.

Sheriff Lott stated that on Sunday, January 8, 2012 between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM Deputies responded to two thefts motor vehicles at 7500 Parklane Road (Richland County Tennis Complex) and met with the victims:

· Victim 1 stated that she returned to her vehicle a 2006 Honda CR-V, and found the back window shattered, the tail light broken, and a 6-pack of Antinori wine stolen valued at $96.00.

· Victim 2 stated that she returned to her vehicle, a 2007 Hyundai Subaru Santa Fe and found the drivers side window shattered. The suspect stole the following items totaling $1, 880.00:

1. Garmin GPS

2. Callaway Golf Clubs

3. Specialty Driver Club

4. Specialty Putter Club

5. Two Adams Hybrid Clubs

6. Golf Bag

7. Three pair golf gloves

8. Golf balls

The suspect vehicle, a dark colored Toyota Tundra with a fiberglass bed cover, was captured on video surveillance equipment leaving the area (video images can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/RCSDInvestigates please reference release number 0112-1150 on the right hand side).
