RCSD seeks suspects for armed robbery

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in locating two suspects wanted for armed robbery.  

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that at just after 7:00 PM on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 520-A Bush River Road (Verizon Wireless), 29210 Richland County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to an armed robbery. 

The Sheriff stated that suspects entered the business with masks on presenting handguns. The suspects ordered the victims (two male employees) to the safe; at this point they stole the cell phones from both victims and with a wallet. The Sheriff stated that the suspects stole cash and an undetermined number of cell phones from the safe. The Sheriff stated that the suspects (captured on video surveillance equipment) then fled the area on foot. The Sheriff added that the suspects took the liberty of covering their faces from the camera, but investigators are hopeful that the suspects can be identified from the clothing and shoes they wore in video.  

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the suspects are described as two black males, medium build. Suspect number one was wearing a dark hoodie with a white writing on the front, and dark pants. Suspect number two had on the same type of hoodie as suspect one, dark pants and pink tennis shoes. The Sheriff stated that the suspects were captured on video surveillance equipment inside the business (video images can be found at please reference release number 0217-2557) The Sheriff is asking for assistance in locating and identifying the suspects responsible.
