Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced today the arrest of two suspects in connection with nine (9) vandalisms that occurred on January 27, 2008 in the Ascot Community where several mailboxes were destroyed during the early morning hours. Sheriff Lott stated that patrol deputies were dispatched to the area on January 27 and received information on the description of a suspicious vehicle – uniform deputies and investigators were able to take the information and link Kelsy Jenning Marsh and Joseph William Kritt to the vandalisms and charge them each with nine (9) counts of malicious injury to personal property. The suspects have been booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center today and that the investigation continues into the possibility that they, along with several other suspects, may be involved in several other vandalisms in and around the Ascot Community. Sheriff Leon Lott stated that community involvement and dedicated police work by the deputies lead to the arrest in these cases and would ask that the Ascot Community and all Richland County Citizens continue to strive to improve the quality of life in our communities by being extra eyes and ears for law enforcement. Anyone with information on any criminal activity is asked to call crimestoppers at 888-559-tips or go to www.midlandscrimestoppers.com – crimestoppers offers a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of persons responsible for any crime.
