Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community's assistance in locating Derrid Johnell Leaphart (DOB: 10/03/90) wanted in connection for the shooting incident at the Waffle House.

At 2:20 AM on Monday, October 21, 2011 Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shots fired call at 7505 Two Notch Road (Waffle House). Upon further investigation Richland County Investigators were able to determine that Leaphart was present when Alexander shot the victim multiple times in the lower body -- the victim was transported to Palmetto Richland.

Paris Lee Alexander (DOB: 08/17/88) was arrested on November 21, 2011 for attempted murder and is now out on bond. Sheriff Lott stated that the victim continues to recover from his wounds.
