RCSD seeks Moses Telford

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in locating Moses Thomas Telford (DOB: 08/19/66) wanted for Breech of Trust, Destructive/Damage/Vandalism of Property, Check fraud, and Theft from Motor Vehicle.

At 2:15 PM Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 8017 Garners Ferry Road (Expert Transmission), Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complaint -- the victim states that she went to Expert Transmission to check on the progress of her vehicle that she was having repaired, upon arrival she noticed that items were taken from her vehicle and found the business abandoned. Items stolen from the vehicle were a Bose CD player, large speaker box, and the vehicle battery.

At 2:15 PM Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 8017 Garners Ferry Road (Expert Transmission), Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complaint --the victim stated that she leased the property to Telford and when she arrived to the location, she found the property abandoned and items damaged and missing from the business. The missing items listed were a JVC 32” television, and a drill press. Damaged items were a glass storm door, paint on walls, damage to roll up door. The victim stated that the deposit check was returned as well as the monthly rent.

Telford has a lengthy history of committing this sort of crime and would like to put him behind bars so he won’t be able to continue to scam the citizens of Richland County or anyone else.
