Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott in conjunction with Columbia Police Department and Forest Acres Police Department announced the arrest of Dantwan Wilson (DOB: 08/21/90) who is responsible for 40 home burglaries in the City of Columbia, Forest Acres, and Richland County.

Sheriff’s Department investigators were able to develop a lead in the city burglary that occurred in April. As a result the suspect vehicle was later stopped which lead to the arrest of Wilson. This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are forthcoming.

Wilson stole TV’s, jewelry, electronic devices, and cash. Sheriff Lott added that Wilson committed the burglaries in the daytime and also at night – neighborhoods victimized by Wilson were in the Denny Terrace, Woodfield Park, Eau Claire, Bryneswood, Earlwood Park, Heathwood, and Forest Acres communities.

Wilson was arrested and remains in the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
