Sheriff Lott has always
recognized that one of the most critical components of a successful
department is quality training. For that reason, all RCSD deputies must
complete two full weeks of training each year.
The RCSD Training Unit is
recognized as the top training division in the state. Comprised of
seasoned instructors who work diligently providing the best and most up to
date training. The Training Division's mission is to "provide real life
training for real situations."
Each
week-long training period provides deputies with an assortment of
real-life scenarios, but there are always three areas that remain
constant: weapon proficiency, physical fitness, and vehicle
proficiency. The following schedule outlines the week-long training
cycle deputies are currently undergoing.
