D.A.R.E. America has developed “New” innovative fundraising programs/partnerships designed to help local community-based D.A.R.E. programs across the country raise money. These fundraisers serve to support and sustain community D.A.R.E. programs. Quantum is one of these new partners. D.A.R.E. Officers can help secure locations that will allow local Quantum businesses, such as Apple Unlimited, set-up a display of products in front of local community businesses. Our local citizens have an opportunity to purchase quality products 40% to 60% below retail, while helping D.A.R.E. America and local community-based D.A.R.E. programs in the process. Citizens may receive a “FREE” child Safety identification kit with the option to purchase a family kit. Citizens may also purchase toys and other products with the option to donate them back to the “Toys for Cops” program. These toys will then be given to students in local school D.A.R.E. classes as incentive gifts or during Christmas to needy children. This is a perfect example of - law enforcement, community businesses and citizens all working as a TEAM making a difference to help save our CHILDREN. D.A.R.E. Officers in our schools teach young people the truth about drugs and violence, which changes their normal beliefs. The truth will help save students from becoming victims of drug abuse and avoid violence (Bullying). These young distributors, many are former D.A.R.E. graduates, are simply seeking success through good old American “Free Enterprise” while giving back to local communities. This is a good example of how D.A.R.E. works. Young people high and excited on life using positive alternative rather than drugs becoming successful. These enthusiastic and motivated young people are working to secure the safety and health of future generations by supporting national and local community D.A.R.E. programs. D.A.R.E. Works! These young entrepreneurs are “living proof!”
************************************************** Apple Unlimited sets up booths around S.C. with support going to DARE America and The SC DARE Training Center. In October of 2007 they donated $40,000.00 in toys. These toys went to the state DARE officer to be given out in their area. They did this again February 8, 2008, for about $50,000.00
Apple Unlimited will donate $100.00 to a local DARE program if a DARE Officer contacts a location that will allow them to set up a booth for the week.
