Lt. Wyatt is originally from Northern California. Graduated from River View High School (Sarasota, Fl) in 1995. Prior to joining RCSD she served in the army as a military police officer, and worked for Mental Health as a public safety officer. She joined RCSD in March of 2000 and was assigned the Northeast region. From there she went into the SRO program and worked at Lower Richland High School 2003- Jan 2005. After working at LR she was transferred back to the road where she worked as a line supervisor in Reg 1 (Lower Richland, Community). In Oct of 2007 she was transferred to the Gang Unit as a Corporal. December 2010 Wyatt was promoted to the Sgt position over the DST.(Drug Suppression Team). Sgt. Becker and K-9 Chico are a unique team specializing in narcotics, tracking, and criminal apprehension, assigned to the Drug Suppression Team. Cpl. Becker has been with RCSD since 2003, active in many specialized units within the sheriff’s department, including the SRT, and Underwater Recovery Unit. Cpl. Becker is deeply committed to family, and the pursuit of the integrity and honor of the badge of which he represents. K9 Chico is a full service police canine, acquired from Holland. Since teaming up with Cpl. Master Deputy Girón is originally from Chicago, Illinois and has been with the Sheriff’s Department since July of 2006. She was assigned to Region 3 area for the first three years of her service and was selected to be a member of DST in June of 2009. Deputy Girón comes to the department with 9 years of experience as a Military Police Officer with the Army National Guard serving in operation Noble Eagle and overseas in Operation Iraqi Freedom. “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing”. Deputy
Johnson
has been employed by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department since March
2007. Prior to joining the Sheriff’s Department, he attended and graduated
from the University of South Carolina with a bachelors degree in criminal
justice/criminology. While attending USC, he was a member of the nationally
ranked track and field team. Prior to being selected for the RCSD Drug

Deputy Cornwell has been employed with the Richland County Sheriff's Department since November of 2009. He attended the University of South Carolina and received a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice/Criminology. Deputy Cornwell graduated from the SCCJA in March of 2010 and was the recipient of the J.P. Strom Award for Academic Excellence.
