Sergeant S. Sutton began her career
with Richland County in 1990 as a Booking Officer with the Richland County
Detention Center. She was promoted to Mobile Home Investigator with the
Zoning Division and later promoted to Code Enforcement Officer. She was
promoted to the Richland County Sheriff Department in 2002 and have
received several awards and commendations from the citizens of Richland
County and the Richland County Sheriff Department. Some awards include
Deputy of the Quarter 2003 and 2005. She is responsible for supervising
the daily operation of Code Enforcement.

Sr. Deputy J. Myers hold a BS Degree in
Criminal Justice Administration. He began his career with Richland County
Detention Center, after 41/2 years he was promoted to Richland County
Zoning Department as a Code Enforcement Officer after 14 years he was
promoted to the Richland County Sheriff Department. He has received
numerous commendations from the citizens of the Richland County

Deputy Edison Naranjo is originally
from Venezuela South America and began his career in 1983 through 1992 as
a correctional and gangs task force law enforcement officer with the Dade
County Juvenile Correctional Facility, in Miami Florida. He transferred to
Richland County Sheriff's Department in August 2000. He has worked with
the Traffic Unit, Victim Advocate Unit, Spanish Translator for the
Department and now works with the Code Enforcement Division. He is also a
16 year veteran serving proudly with the Columbia Fire Department as a
Captain. He has received numerous commendations from the citizens of the

JSO James Smith began his career in law
enforcement with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department in October 2003
as an officer in the County Courthouse. While with the Sheriff’s
Department he has worked the Front Desk doing prisoner transports, and at
the Warrant Division serving warrants. Officer Smith briefly left the
Sheriff’s Dept. in September 2007 and returned in April 2008. Officer
Smith was assigned to the Code Enforcement Unit in May 2008.
