Sgt. Rafael Gonzalez served five years in the U.S. Air Force.  Soon after leaving the USAF he graduated from Midlands Technical College with an Associate's Degree in Public Service.  In 2005, Sgt. Gonzalez was honored while being selected as Deputy of the Year for Richland County Sheriff's Dept and South Carolina Officer of the Year.  Sgt. Gonzalez speaks Spanish fluently and is involved in the Latino Community.  Sgt. Gonzalez has been with the department since 2003.  He joined the Community Action Team in 2003 and in July 2008 was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and is currently in charge of the C.A.T.  Unit.

Cpl. Amanda Lee is originally from Pawleys Island SC, and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice/ Liberal Arts. She also attended the Citadel’s Police Corps. Deputy Lee began with the Sheriff’s Department in July of 2004 and became a member of CAT in May 2006. She is also on the business coalition team, the bike unit, and is the state coordinator for Project Lifesaver.

Master Deputy Steven Reeves has lived in Richland County for approximately 10 years and has been with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department since August 2004.  He is a University of South Carolina graduate. He enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.  Deputy Reeves has worked in Region 1(Lower Richland area) since he’s been with RCSD and joined the Community Action Team(CAT) in January 2007.

Deputy Troy Haddock graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. He has been with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department since November 2004 and joined the CAT Team in June 2007.

Deputy Garo Brown was born in Amityville New York but moved to South Carolina in 2000. He started his Law Enforcement career with Richland County Sheriff's Department in 2000 and is currently working on completing his associates degree in Computer Technology. Brown's hobbies are Fitness and building R.C. Cars.

Deputy Kevin Stegall is a graduate of Delta State University in Mississippi, a 17-year veteran of the United States Air Force and currently serving in the Air Force Reserve. He has served in many operations to include being brought to active duty following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and the Oklahoma City bombing. Deputy Stegall began working for Richland County in 2005 and became a member of CAT in March of 2007.

Deputy Christina Pope is originally from New York City and a graduate of Piedmont Technical College/Associates Degree in Public Service. She is currently pursuing Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice at South University. She has been with the Sheriff's Department since June 2004. She joined the Community Action Team in October 2007.
